All of our cottages are checked in between each group of Guests to confirm that everything is in order for your arrival.
Important guest information:
- Pillows and blankets are provided.
- Bed sheets, indoor and outdoor towels and kitchen linens are not provided - you will need to bring your own. Bed sizes are indicated in the listing.
- This cottage comes with a cleaning upon departure. We ask that you kindly tidy, do the dishes, and remove all garbage and food when you check out (see Welcome Book for landfill information).
- Should we have to do an emergency clean and/or remove any garbage/recycling, fees will be applied per the Terms and Conditions you agreed to.
- BBQ Gas is provided.
- Smoking/vaping and the lighting of candles is not permitted within the cottage.

- Please note the water pressure in the master bedroom shower can vary at times.
Remember to bring:
- You can drink the well water but if uncomfortable with rural systems, there is a 5 stage reverse osmosis water tap in the kitchen. You can bring small refillable jugs and fill them from that reverse osmosis tap if you prefer - We encourage guests to not bring single use plastic water bottles.
- Properly sized life jackets for everyone participating in water activities (pertaining to summer bookings).
- Toilet paper, paper towel and tissue - a starter supply is provided so please replenish what you use.
- Firewood - If intending to use the cottage fire pit, please ensure you source firewood local to the cottage to prevent the transit of invasive species to our area.
- A flashlight with fresh batteries for those dark evenings!
A Welcome Book, located on the kitchen table, contains important guest information upon your arrival - please ensure you familiarize yourself with its contents, such as:
- garbage information - please bring Clear Garbage Bags, there is no compost program - all compost goes into household, recycling is mandatory with details in the welcome book
- location of cleaning supplies
- power failure instructions
- primary contact information.

Mandatory Services
- Non-Refundable Booking Fee: $175.00 per stay plus HST
- Cleaning: $0.00 per stay plus HST
- For your convenience a clean on departure is included in price. Guests are still required to leave the cottage tidy, all food removed, garbage properly sorted and taken to the landfill on departure.
- Security Deposit: $500.00 per stay
- The Security Deposit will be returned to you within 10 business days after the check-out date if there is no damage, extra cleaning or garbage removal required. See Terms & Conditions for further details.
Payment Notes
There is a deposit required of 30% of the rental rate plus the Non-Refundable Booking Fee and HST upon booking and we will use your VISA or MC.
The balance is due 60 days in advance of your arrival by email transfer, post-dated cheque or credit card.

Guest Comments: We just returned home and want to express our sincere thanks to the owner and cottage care rentals. The hiccup with the fridge slowed us down for a bit but the whole week was great. We even met a lovely couple across the lake who helped with refrigeration services. On Saturday, there was a wedding directly across from the cottage - it was amazing. Such a nice lake and location. Our granddaughter paddle boarded and swam every day. The neighbors next door invited her to use the water trampoline. Our son caught about a 5 lb. bass off the dock. The outdoor shower was a big hit! Thanks to all for a wonderful vacation. A pleasure to do business with Cottage Care again! The Thompsons

We spent 90% of our time outside where the lake was amazingly swimable and having the beach area is great for the kids. We're planning on coming back to the same cottage again next year!
