This beautiful lakefront cottage is situated on a well treed one acre property. Three generation families enjoy plenty of space both inside and out. Beautiful views of the lake, from the dock, lakeside deck or fire pit.
The interior of the cottage is a wonderful mix of traditional cottage charm with modern amenities. The honey coloured patina of the pine floors and cosy cottage furniture provide a very relaxing atmosphere with an expansive view of the lake through the floor to ceiling windows.
The kitchen with stainless steel appliances and large dining area is perfect for family meals, with additional seating in the adjacent sunroom with walk out to the BBQ area and expansive lake view deck. Open concept living room off the kitchen has a propane fireplace and floor to ceiling windows. Three bedrooms and a 4 pc bathroom finish off the main level. The lower level has a large family room, three bedrooms, laundry room and shower and a 2 pc washroom.
Outside, the property is well treed along the perimeter for privacy and shade when you want it. The expansive, two level sundeck features a BBQ and deck chairs. Step down from the sundeck to a large grassy area for a game of badminton or croquet and enjoy the large fire pit or to the next tier and the dock. At the water’s edge you will find another deck attached to the dock to enjoy the sun and pristine water of Stormy Lake.
Adjacent to the dock is a shallow walk-in area with a hard granite base. At the end of the dock, the water is approximately ten feet deep. A canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle boat and a row boat are provided for your your enjoyment. Or launch your own boat at the public boat launch and enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding and tubing.
If you would like to wet a line, there are bass, perch and lake trout provided to the patient and lucky at no extra cost.
Stormy Lake is 15 minutes from Haliburton, Ontario, in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands. The highlands are renowned for a variety of local activities. If arts and culture is what you seek, register for a pottery class at the Haliburton School of Art and Design or take in the local Studio Tour. If golf “drives” you, the Jack Davidson-designed golf course at Pinestone resort is just up the fairway. Blairhampton Golf Club, our personal favourite and local gem, is also nearby.

Looking for a daytrip? The Haliburton Forest and Wolf Centre featuring canopy walks, Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride for mountain biking and Algonquin Park are within easy reach. Haliburton Village has everything required to complete a perfect holiday: LCBO, Beer Store, two large grocery stores, pharmacy, several restaurants and cafes, walking trails, hospital and clinic. If you just require the basics, Gooderham is 10 minutes away, where you can find a liquor store, gas station, restaurant, well stocked general store and more.

All of our cottages are checked in between each group of Guests to confirm that everything is in order for your arrival.
You will need to bring proper size life jackets for everyone participating in water activities.
