In the event of a power outage, you can flush the cottage toilet with buckets of water from the lake, the bath "house" toilet is not to be used in a power outage as there is a pump chamber which requires power to operate and will overload.

Important Guest Information

All of our cottages are cleaned in between each group of Guests to confirm that everything is in order for your arrival.

Important guest information:

• Pillows and blankets are provided.
• Bed sheets, indoor and outdoor towels and kitchen linens are not provided - you will need to bring your own. Bed sizes indicated in the listing. 
• Water - is from the lake for cooking and shower, drinking water is provided in a large cooler that takes 5L jugs
• You will need to clean the cottage and grounds as well as remove all garbage and food when you check out.
• Should we have to do an emergency clean over and above and/or remove any garbage/recycling, fees will be applied per the Terms and Conditions you agreed to.
• Glass bottles are not permitted at the water, please use plastic glasses or bring cans.
• BBQ Gas is provided.
• Smoking/vaping and the lighting of candles is not permitted within the cottage.
• Please be sure to watch and clean up after your dog and do not allow it to wander to the neighbour’s property.

Remember to bring:

• Properly sized life jackets for everyone participating in water activities. 
• Toilet paper, paper towel and tissue - a starter supply is provided so please replenish what you use.
• Firewood - If intending to use the cottage fire pit, please ensure you source firewood local to the cottage to prevent the transit of invasive species to our area.
• A flashlight with fresh batteries for those dark evenings!

A Welcome Book, located on the kitchen table, contains important guest information upon your arrival - please ensure you familiarize yourself with its contents, such as:

• garbage information - please bring Clear Garbage Bags, there is no compost program - all compost goes into household, recycling is mandatory with details in the welcome book
• location of cleaning supplies
• power failure instructions
• primary contact information.
